Changing exhibitions breathe new life into the halls of the Old Town Hall and invite you to take a stroll through art history.
In "KUNST.Wittenberg", a space has been created for art connoisseurs, guests and visitors and is constantly enlivened with changing exhibitions. Since the anniversary year 2017, the "Wittenberg.Genau" exhibition space has been set up in the East Hall of the Old Town Hall, where the town presents itself to its visitors. The rooms in the West Hall have been open for the "KUNST.Wittenberg" project here in the Old Town Hall since July 2018.

From 10 October 2026 to 10 January 2027, the exhibition ‘generell frisch’ – New Members of the BBK Saxony-Anhalt Exhibit at the Old Town Hall in Lutherstadt Wittenberg – will showcase the creative diversity of contemporary art from Saxony-Anhalt.
The focus is on the works of 34 artists who were newly admitted to the Professional Association of Visual Artists of Saxony-Anhalt (BBK) in 2024. The artists come from different regions of Saxony-Anhalt and, through their works, demonstrate just how multifaceted and vibrant the regional art scene is.
Visitors can look forward to a varied insight into contemporary art: the spectrum ranges from painting, drawing and printmaking, through sculpture and installations, to video art, textile art and extraordinary jewellery pieces. A variety of materials, techniques and artistic perspectives invite visitors to discover, marvel and reflect.
