Wittenberg Renaissance Music Festival

Since 2006, professors and music-making students, excellent concert musicians and instrument makers, and hundreds of music lovers have gathered in Wittenberg to trace a unique treasure of German music history. No place would be better suited for this purpose than the birthplace of Protestant church music.

In addition to the comprehensive concert program, a Renaissance market will provide insights into the world of life and pleasure during the Renaissance. A courtly ball like in the times of Frederick the Wise with old music, culinary delicacies and historical garments forms the highlight of the Renaissance Music Festival. We invite you to celebrate, feast and dance in the authentic ambience of the 16th and 17th centuries.
