Wittenberg Christmas market
Around the unique backdrop of the Wittenberg market, the scent of almonds, crepes and mulled wine fills the air in the run-up to Christmas. Every year, sellers of various delicacies and artisans offer their Christmas goods in small wooden huts. Stroll past glittering Christmas trees, pyramids and carousels. Experience a treat for all the senses. At the weekends and on some weekdays, there is a colorful program on the Christmas market stage. Of course, Santa Claus is also invited again and we are sure that he won't just drop by once.

Market of beautiful things
The 20th Market of Beautiful Things opens in 2025. As in previous years, you will find numerous regional and national artists in the workshops at the Cranachhof, Schlossstr. 1. Professional artists and craftspeople from near and far will be offering high-quality and imaginative items for sale in the historic rooms of the Cranach houses and their historic courtyards. This gives visitors the unique opportunity to purchase exceptional Christmas gifts and enjoy culinary delights.

Christmas market of the clubs
The clubs' Christmas market takes place on the church square of St. Mary's Church. A stage decorated with bright lights and Christmas trees invites you to enjoy the varied program. From dance groups and puppet shows to contemplative organ and brass band music, there is sure to be something for everyone.
The Christmas market is organized by Lutherstadt Wittenberg Marketing GmbH.

Advent festival in Luther's house and courtyard
The LutherMuseums cordially invite you to an Advent festival in Martin Luther's historic home, to the Lutherhof. On the third weekend of Advent, an atmospheric Advent market with a festive atmosphere awaits you. You can look forward to Christmas carols, a fascinating light show, an art bazaar, traditional craft stalls, culinary delights, puppet shows, concerts and creative craft activities.

Special Advent tip:
From December 1, a window picture in the Augusteum's Advent calendar will be illuminated every day. From the 2nd Advent, the Herrnhut starry sky, as shown in the photo in the Lutherhof, will delight visitors with an impressive light spectacle - a highlight not to be missed!

Möllensdorf Christmas Market
The Möllensdorf Christmas Market takes place every Advent weekend in the middle of the forest that once belonged to Lucas Cranach, the famous painter and mayor of Wittenberg. Around 50 lovingly designed stalls are set up along forest paths and await visitors with all kinds of regional arts and crafts, delicious mulled wine, pre-Christmas sweets and the traditional Möllensdorf Christmas sausage. There is also something for the little ones: a petting zoo, Christmas carnival, pony rides, a carousel and a small railway can be admired and explored.
